Recuritment of friends is still open, but as of right now, there are no major plans for raid progression or large-scale activity until the begining of the Cataclysm Expansion. 

Since we've entered into a loosely-organized raiding coalition with our friends in Matchbox Soldiers, I thought it fitting that I post instructions for signing up for raids.

1. Go to their EQDKP/Sechduling site. 
2. Register - you only need to register so that you can use the calendar to sign up.
3. Once you get your confirmation e-mail you'll be able to login and sign up for any raid listed.  Use the "Change Status" button at the bottom of the details page. Make sure you selected "Sign Up" in the drop down menu.  

Please note that sign ups close the day before a posted event.  Priority goes to those who sign up earliest, so be sure to watch the page for event postings. 

You'll also be able to see your loot standing on that site.

We're looking for the following to round out a regular 10-Man Naxx and Ulduar group.

* Primary Spec Healer
* Primary Spec Tank
* DPS - Ranged
* DPS - Melee

The successful applicant will be one who is comfortable in Grounding Totem's guild culture, is willing to play the game with a degree of skill and is willing to focus on raiding two nights per week.

I'm pleased to announce our first Officer Position - Recruitment Czar - held now by Keelabonke.  He's already posted to the Kirin Tor realm forum with a post looking for new members.  Give it a squint. 

Look around, look at the people on your friends lists, the guys you group with, the interesting folks you meet in a battle ground.  We're looking for more folks like us.

Also, I've added a schedule module to the web-site.  It doesn't have anything to do with the in-game calendar, but I'll be posting events in both places.

Happy New Year to all members of Grounding Totem. 

Apparently, leaving the server open to guests is a bad idea.  The server now has a password for login.  Please see a guildmate in-game for the password.

And so it begins.

Grounding Totem is a new guild on the Kirin Tor (US) server, dedicated to a casual, friendly atmosphere and a high level of playing skill.  Our ranks are comprised of veteran players who have a positive, success-oriented attitude.  Our slogan is "We keep it down to earth!"

Guild Goals:

• Play WoW with a fun bunch of folks who play the game well.
• See and defeat WotLK content.
• Provide an environment in which players can accomplish personal and group game goals such as Arena or Battlegrounds PvP, accomplishments, quests, etc.
• Focus on 10-man raiding track through WotLK content, with an eye for possible 25-man raiding if the membership desires it strongly.
  

Philosophy:

A guild should be an environment that is conducive to fun and accomplishing in-game goals. We strive for a low-pressure, highly social environment filled with people who want to play the game to a high level of skill and defeat challenges.  We're pro ‘skill’ but not at the cost of ‘fun and casual.’  Rules are kept to a minimum and interpreted in their spirtit, rather than their letter.
